Five Ideal Toys for Babies

A good infant toy should not only be fun, but also help to stimulate the different senses of your baby, namely visual, hearing and tactile. This is the way babies explore the world around them. It is also highly imperative to consider the safety of an infant toy as babies tend to not just touch them, but also put them in the mouth.

As you continue to read, please bear in mind that each infant grows and develops at their own pace. The age recommendation is usually printed on the packaging of these toys, however, it should also be noted that they are good choices for children who are younger or older than the suggested age range, so long they are safe.

Stack up toys help babies to learn about height, balance and order. As they are playing with these toys, it helps them to develop essential problem solving skills as they slowly figure out how to make the structure taller and taller.

Babies generally like bright colours. Contrasting colours have been proven to send the strongest signals to a baby’s brain to help stimulate brain growth and aid in visual development.

Specifically for these toys, do refrain from choosing those with sharp edges. Also, you may wish to check on the finishings of these toys to ensure that the surfaces of these toys are smooth.
